My betta is bloated?

I want to give it a green pea but i dont have any i only have the green peas in the can. can i feed my betta the green peas from the can?

  1. I wouldn't use the ones from the can - they contain a lot of added sodium that wouldn't be healthy for your betta. For now, just continue to fast him, and see if you can get a small bag of frozen peas later on. Are you sure it's constipation? It could also be something more sinister - dropsy. Look at him from above - are his scales smooth, or do they stick out like a pine cone? If they're smooth, then it's probably just constipation, but if he does look like a pine cone...well, it's nearly impossible to treat dropsy :(

  2. Yep canned peas are ok, just take the shell of the pea.
