  1. Don't worry about ruining his bubblenest.  They build and rebuild those things all the time.  It's just going to get ruined when you have to do a water change anyways.  Mine always sulks for a few minutes when I wreck his and then goes right back up and makes a new one.  It's no big deal to wreck a male betta's bubblenest.

  2. He will rebuild it.  It's a thing they do, why I don't know.

  3. Bubble nests mean they are happy, comfortable and feel safe (aka: ready to spawn :o)). As long as he is happy and content, he will keep building nests.

However, filtration in tanks will cause water current and this could make building a nest more difficult. Supply lots of plants in this environment so they will shield some water areas from the water flow, and he can nest away.

  4. anytime a betta builds a bubble nest it means he's basically ready to breed...he should rebuild the nest in a new tank granted its clean water and he's comfortable with his environment...even if he doesn't rebuild it it's not a big deal what so ever..
