My bf has cat issues, any insight?

I think this is hularious but my boyfriend told me the other day that cats steals souls. He swears its true and im curious, who else believes that its true? I guess what happened was my cat wanted to play at 1am and when my boyfriend woke up, my cat was staring at him 3 inches away from him face and he told he was trying to steal his soul. I personally don't believe it but anyone else out there do?

No, cats do not steal souls.  They do like to watch everything and sleeping people are a favorite because we open and close our mouths when we do, they love watching that.

Don't let your boyfriend do anything bad to the cat because of his superstitious beliefs.  This is the modern world, he's believing things that were talked about in the middle ages.  The info is wrong and way out of date.

That's call an "Old Wives Tale".  No it's not true, of course!  Many people also think cats will suck the breath away from babies as they sleep in their cribs.  It's all superstition.  So much surrounds cats and unfortunately there are a lot of people who believe it.  Did you know that the euthanasia rates at shelters are higher for black cats?  That's because people think black cats are bad luck, and they shy away from adopting them.  It's very sad, but true.  Stop being silly, people!

Your cat is just being a cat and animal...checking your boyfriend out, probably curious about him and just smelling him.  Some animals too get jealous of you giving attention to other creatures, like your boyfriend and might do something to his things, but your cat isn't going to steal his soul!

I woke up in the middle of my sleep once to find my cat staring at me. It was truly a weird feeling, as if I could sense someone staring at me while I was sleep. I believe it meant something. My cat was acting as if she was watching something in the room. I wonder does it mean anything at all.

um that is an odd belief, but there have been many many stories told about cats. I assume that is because some cats seem so mysterious and sneaky  especially when compared to your average goofy dog. silly people.

The reason the cat was staring at him, most likely was because he was either talking in his sleep, breathing heavy or snoring. Cats respond to sounds.

that's pretty funny.  There are some really silly superstitions about cats.

Have you asked him what cats do with the souls?  Do they eat them or do they collect them and trade them with other cats?  How do they pull it out of someone?

I have a black cat.  He's been with me for 7 years and has never brought me bad luck.

I've heard things about them smothering babies because they're jealous of the milk.  My parents had cats when I was born. I remain un-smothered and even though I have 6 cats myself, I still have as much of a soul as ever.
