My bichon frise has chewed 4 of her nipples off. Why would she do this?

if she chewed  OFF 4 of her nipples, why in the HECK are you on Y!A...That dog needs to be at a vets office tring to figure out what is the problem...

i hope that is what you ment...("chewed 4 of her nipples off") their is a problem and girls dont do that, they might l**k them, scratch them but not chew them off..take her to a vet..

Bichons have very sensitive skin, and are actually highly allergic to dust mites and flea bites!! I have one and she would chew her tummy till it was raw, I took her to the vet and he gave us a spray (this was years ago I cannot remember) but it worked!! You need to get the dog to see the vet..

She could have obsessive compulsive disorder. My dog had it and she chewed her back until it bled. You have to see your vet and get some prescribed medicine for her. Even if it isn't OCD, you have to see you vet anyway because she could get an infection and get very sick!!

I think you should take her to the vet. Its definently not healthy for her to do that. Maybe she had a skin irritation, or sometimes dog self-mutilate due to bordem, does she have enough mental and physical stimulation?

she may have an irritation, the best thing you can do for her is go to the vets!

if she was just itching i'd say get some aloe vera ointment but as she is actually hurting herself you really really should go see the vet!

They are probably itching her you should take he to the vet to see why she is itching so much. Could be just hormones causing it or something else.
