i had spent years dreaming about the kind of bike i wanted, and like a miracle from god, i found the bike of my dreams at a garage sale for a BARGAIN!!! it was mor than i could ask for!

this bike set a different lifestyle for me. a more healthy , happy, and social one. it allowed me to do what i wanted.

but yesterday my bike was stolen by some **** for brains, pre-pubecent, jackass.

i am suffering like i never thought i would,OVER A BIKE!!!

but the fact of the matter is i was ROBBED!

what help can i ask for, and what real chance do i have of getting it back, they don't make bikes like mine anymore, and they certainly don't come cheap in similar styles!!!!

i miss my bike!! :'[

  1. What a fun looking bike!  I can imagine how upset you are.  Unfortunately I doubt you'll ever see it again.  Definitely report it to the police, and take them the picture, but don't get your hopes up.

Start looking around for new cruisers.  I know you won't find the same exact style that you fell in love with, but they have a lot of nice looking retro-style bikes out there now.  Start online.  Schwinnbike.com is a good start.  Then you can go to a local bike shop and give them a better idea of what you want.

On another (sadder) note... people will steal anything.  What you might think would have no value to anyone but yourself, they'll steal it anyway.  It's like teenagers that steal a mini-van... it's not like they really want the mini-van, or are even going to sell it.  Often they just want to drive around, have a party or get someplace and ditch it.  that's likely what happened to yours.  Get yourself a good quality lock, keep it in that fun basket on your handlebars, and USE IT.

  2. Not much chance of getting it back, but the loss might be covered by your homeowners insurance. Check with your insurance agent.

  3. chances are a 6 year old stole it and you wont find it quickly go see the cops or look around the area you live in

  4. Call the police, for real. Report it stolen.

Then take that picture and post it on craigslist in your area under bikes, general, etc. and put STOLEN BIKE!!! Put where it was last seen, etc. and offer a reward. Put an ad in the classifieds in your area too, if it's free.

Good luck! If enough people see it around, they'll call you.

  5. theres any percent of getting your bike back!!

    im sorry
