Which one do I pay? If I pay the 76, will they send me an $8 refund?

I thought the dentist sent you two bills...the initial one...and then a 2nd one once they get what my insurance will pay?

  1. dont pay a dime until they get your insurance payment...then pay it promptly because you like your dentist!

  2. Call the dentist and ask them. Unless your insurance company paid $8 leaving you with the rest, someone made a mistake somewhere.

  3. Does the bill from your insurance company show an amount (of $8) that was dis-allowed? That probably explains the difference between the two amounts. You should pay the smaller amount. Sometimes doctors & dentists bill for a higher amount than is allowed by an insurance company.
