He is a cockateal (sp?) and he was attacked by my cat several months ago. I took him to the vet and he is fine, but he just has this one wing feather that sticks straight out and looks very ugly. I'm afraid if I pull it it will bleed. But in the mean time, it looks stupid. At first I thought he would just lose his feathers eventually and get new ones. Well his feather got messed up like 9 months ago and it's still there looking stupid.

Advice?

    Sorry, got carried away!

Look honey (If your a girl and for boys....RIP IT OFF ARRGG!)

I believe you should simply pull it of and rub gently over the skin area where you plucked it out from! If it bleeds..then wipe it and hold onto it with a soft cotton piece(damp) and confort your adorable little munchkin! Pluck it out swiftly and carefully! Cya

  2. let the bird fly and it'll fall off

  3. pluck it or if ur too afraid then just cut it off feathers are like hair it probably wont bleed

  4. MM wondering what kind of view you have .. how can a animal look stupid?  that's your thoughts  so maybe you the one that looks stupid? you put things upon yourself .. oh no just blame the animal its a bird.. you see how stupid that sounds?? did the vet not laugh in your face? what if the bird thinks he 's got a stupid leg? mm pull it out perhaps  it might bleed??!! what is not of your liking , are you for real?   shame on you
