I have a yellow nape amazon and she hates toys, she wont touch them no matter what I do. Most birds love toys especially while I am not home I do not want her getting bored. Can anyone help me? As well as she bites from time to time and doesn't step up like I would like. I have tried no reacting to the biting and not giving her treats and things, what should I do? I know this may take time I have only had her a few days before that she only had one other owner her whole life she is 13 and for the past 4 years was almost always in her cage, she does come out and that is what I want but she bites sometimes especially night time when I want her to go back in her cage, someone please help me

  1. she is new ignore her and let her come to you then she will grow so attached she and you can play with her toys together

  2. On toys, try starting her with things to shred.  Corn on the cob might be good, if she's not afraid of it.

For biting, the following websites might help:
