  1. Just cherish the last times you spend with it and try keeping it as healthy as you can to make it live a little longer.

  2. I'm sorry for your loss, don't be afraid to cry & let yourself grieve

  3. think of all the good times. and be glad you actually got to have him as long as you did.

  4. Remember the good times.

Enjoy each day with your bird, be nice to it.

Then the loss will be bittersweet, because of the good times you had.

  5. Instead of focusing on the negative, think of how lucky you were to have had experiences with your bird.  Your bird has changed you, and made you a better person.  So HONOR your bird for it's life.  I know it's easier said than done, but death doesn't have to be sad.  Think of people who never get to know the pleasure of having a bird.  You are quite lucky to have had your bird for so long.  Of course you will miss your bird, but try to feel it, then let it go. And enjoy your time while you still have it.

  6. In birdie years your bird has lived a very, very long time and just like people, birds get very old and tired.Even though your bird loves you, oh so very much, he knows that he must leave you and it breaks his heart. You can make his leaving you easier by loving him and caring for him until his time comes to go to that special place just for birds. I hear its called Rainbow bridge. Its were all birds go to rest and get reborn as a new baby bird. I know it is going to make you feel sad when he goes but just remember he will be reborn as another bird. Your bird wants you to remember all the happy times you had together.

It's ok to cry for a little while but when you do just think and wonder when you see other birds could that be him?

Be a brave little soldier and let him be born again.

  7. i know its hard to lose a pet. when i had to give up my puppy, i made a scrapbook about her. it seems kinda sad, but it gives you something to do instead of just sitting there and it helps you think about all the good times that you spent together and you can write about down your memories about that picture and then after you used all the pictures of your bird through its whole life then on the end page you should make it really pretty and special. put one picture of when you first got your feathered buddy and put a picture of it in its last days and write down all your feelings and right its birth date to its end date. i think that the worst part of loosing a pet it worrying that someday you might forget it, but if you make a scrape book then that worry will be gone because whenever you want to (even if your like 80) you can go back and remember everything about your bird and that way you will never forget. god bless you and i hope i helped.
