My bird is only taking care of one egg?

My lovebird laid two eggs. She pushed one into a corner under the food bowl and put paper over it but is not sitting on it. It was the first egg she laid. The other one she is sitting on. The other bird in the cage is feeding the female, but I dont know its s*x.

she probably know it's going to die so she is giving all her attention to the one she knows has a chance to live animals can sense that kind of stuff
