My bird is puffy and shaking its tail

i just got my bird a little while ago and its always turning puffy and shaking its tail what does that mean im gonna get another budgie because it looks lonely.

Probably just getting comfortable. As long as the bird is on the perch and not on the floor it will be fine. Yes do get another one so it is not lonely.

Well my bird puffs itself all the time, it's like part of grooming themselves. But when I went to the vet, the vet told me that when it bobs its tail up and down it has trouble breathing, like when a dog pants. But it depends if your bird is bobbing it up and down or side to side. Good luck figuring it out!!

its startled and when it goes "puff" its in the intimidate mode.  Kinda waddles back and forth?  Its trying to "scare" you. and defend itself if needed.

The puffy part means it's happy and the shaking means it's a bit scared when u come real close but why wouldn't it? I mean how would u feel if a giant came right next 2 u?
