My birds laid eggs???

my bird laid two eggs and wont let the boy bird near the eggs. They are cockatiels and does the boy bird need to go to the eggs to fertilize them or are they already fertilized?

Also when will the two eggs hatch?

Cockatiels mate before they lay eggs,so when the female lays eggs they are already fertilized(If your cockatiels haven't mated the eggs are probly not fertilized).Shes keeping the eggs worm and protecting them from the male,but later if they hatch he may help feed and take care of them.Cockatiels lay 1 egg about every 2 days and it takes 18-22 days to hatch,and the babys wean between 8-10 weeks old.I hope this helps!
