  1. i would recommend you have it at the beach if you can.. not only is it cheaper, but there way less clean up involved.

  2. How about doing a scavenger hunt? Break up into teams and go gather things on the list. Doesn't cost a thing! Then everyone can meet up at your favorite pizza place or back at your house for pizza and cake at a certain time to talk about the funny stuff that happened while out collecting items on the list.

    Good luck!

  3. You don't have to have a theme.  The best parties I ever had were when I invited some friends over for pizza and we rented a movie.  However, if you want a bigger party here are some ideas:

Throw a "cocktail party".  Have people come in cocktail attire (cute dresses or nice pants and top) and serve non-alcoholic margaritas, Shirley temples (sprite with grenadine and a cherry), and other appropriate drinks.  Serve some sparkling grape juice in plastic champagne glasses to toast your birthday! If you want to serve food, serve little appetizers.  Wal-Mart and Sam's Club have some great frozen stuff.

A Club Party: Have someone stand at the door and stamp people's hands as they come in to make it official.  Have a "bar" set up (see above for appropriate drinks) and pass out those glow in the dark necklaces that you crack to get them to glow.  Have a VIP section set up with couches or good chairs for you to hang out with certain people.  You could even rope it off or have someone being a "body guard".  Try to find some black lights or strobe lights to make it feel like you are in a club.  Play really great dancing music and make sure people are dancing!

    Have fun!
