  1. I know the most amazing restaurant, it looks fancy when you go in but is casual. Theyve got chinese and american food, and it is amazing, and inexpensive. The waiters are extremely friendly. It is called the garden gate restaurant but most people call it the goof(long story, written on the back of the menu), even the workers (see how casual it is). It is in the beaches, on queen street east, i am not sure what the exact adress is but it is amazing, a must!

  2. Yeah, I think it's still there. it's called sushi deluxe

  3. Try some of the places down by Queen's Cay or the docks

  4. i have had a great experience at the Gretzky restaurant located on 99 blue jays way. the have good food, but im not sure if its the type your looking for. the food is stuff like wings, ribs, steak, chicken alfredo etc. Im sure you can get other stuff too. i have got chicken fingers before. the food is okay, but it is a great friendly enviroment, with hockey murals on the walls, games, and music. you might even be lucky enough to meet a gretzky there.

  5. The Boardwalk Pub!  Fantastic food, and a patio with a view of the lake & the volleyball (at a distance).  Try the ribs, they're delicious.

  6. Murphy's Law in the Beach is pretty good.  Hit the Theatre or club district as well--there's lots of good places along Queen West and along Richmond and Adelaide Streets.

  7. Jack Astors - theres one on john street (in the club district) one on front, and one in the toronto life building (right heart of downtown) .. always a party, music blasting, patio

  8. There is the Le Select Bistro on Queen St near Spadina, a few nice place in Yorkville on Yorkville Av east of the Four Season, a nice hungarian place there that you can dine al fresco.

Along Bloor St between Spadina and Bathurst there are some funky places, not outdoorsy, but open concept places. For me when I want to have fun and am with friend I try place they have never been like Korean, Ethiopian, Thai or Greek, there are some really nice place on the/along Danforth, for outdoor dining and not expensive either.

I am jaded I guess, being a former chef and having no food phobias I will eat anything, and have worked abroad so I am familiar with alot of international cuisines, have fun and celebrate responsibley.
