Question:

My biscuits are gone ?

What can I do to stop the office biscuit thief? I keep a packet of chocolate digestives in my desk and in the past 2 months someone has snaffled 2 packets. Nobody locks their draws as we don't have keys and it would seem rude to start. Any suggestions?

  1. set a biscuit trap

    JB

  2. Here's another approach.  You can get a pack of Asda Smartprice chocolate digestives for under 30p (ten packs for the price of a pint), and they do the job as well as any at several times the price.  Why not keep an open pack on top of your desk, in plain view, and encourage all visitors and passers-by to have one?  The cost to you will be insignificant compared to the goodwill generated.

  3. one word : cyanide

  4. take biscuits out of packet them put each one between your bum cheeks then put them back .you may not catch them but youll be laughing your head off knowing wot they ate

  5. you should buy cheap imitation biscuits of the make you love

leave them in the open air .. l**k it and put fine sprinkles of dust all over each single one of them

get the nice brand packets you love .. (eat the whole contents first) then put all the cheap now dirty biscuits in its place

when the thief comes to take it .. they will get the c**p version and a lovely surprice :)

when you start to see someone in your office gagging for dear life on these biscuits you will find out who the culprit is

and hopefully this will stop them from wanting to steal from you again

    OR

in turn you could just go around the  office telling people that you always l**k some of the biscuits to sofeten them and then you put them back in the packet BUT then stress that you are prone to having lots of breakouts of cold sores all over your mouth, lol

its a drastic move but will sicken everyone and make them stop stealing your goods

  6. Hi. Hide your nice biscuits somewhere else and buy some really cheap ones and keep them in your tin. Better still make some yourself and cover them in chocholate laxative... that should stop them!!

  7. mmmm..one very small drop of visine on the biscuit...your cookie munster will not be able to ..er..leave the restroom without risk of great embarrassment for several hours. will also clue you on identity. giggles ruthlessly

  8. You could put UV powder on the bisuits and take a Black light.

I would do what the person above said "put them in a tin"

  9. Make sandwiches out of them, with vaseline.

    any questions .....lol

  11. I think the only way you can do this is to buy a small container that locks!  Like they used to have at school.  It can be plastic but has a hole for a padlock to go through.

you could leave a note taped to it saying:

Dear Biscuit thief.  This is the measure you have driven me to take.  In a world where manners and good behaviour are on the decline it is sad to know that one of you is amongst us in this office.  If you are hungry, may I suggest you do the same as most other people here and bring your own food.

If that doesnt work I should just shrug your shoulders and give up the digestives!  Buy some biscuits that no one else likes?

    Set up a webcam?

Depends how far you want to take matters over a biscuit thief at the end of the day.

Annoying but part of office life.

  12. Leave a permanent marker open and perched in the drawer ready to strike the hand that steals. Then check everyone's hand throughout the day.

    Why not eat healthier anyway?

  13. Presumably they think they're getting away with it. Perhaps even that you don't notice.

Would you be willing to attach a note to the package making a witty comment or request that they stop? Letting them know that you're paying attention may resolve the matter.

  14. buy a small safe to put them in.

  15. Poison just the top biscuit with extract from a death cap toadstool. This is a two stage poison, the first giving only a mild stomach ache, the second stage being fatal. When the post-mortem examination is carried out, the biscuit will be sufficiently digested to prevent the poison being associated with it.

Do not forget to secretly mark the poisoned biscuit in case the thief leaves this and takes a lower one.

    Good Hunting.

  16. A spring mouse trap in the pack.  Or what about one of these babies?

Just make sure no-one has a weak heart.

  17. r u joking or is this a real problem!

  18. You need to visit your local supermarket and buy the following items:

From the biscuits aisle - one packet of plain digestives.

From the home goods aisle - a Tupperware box

From the pharmacy department - one packet of ex-lax chocolate.

At home, melt the chocolate and spread onto the digestives.

Once set, put the digestives in the box.

Leave the box on your desk, clearly labelled with your name.

I can guarantee they will not steal any more biscuits after these.

  19. Buy a packet and sprinkle each one with salt then put the packet back in the drawer

  20. get a biscuit container with a lock on it? i would be inclined to ask for a key though and lock the draw... what is more rude, locking up your personal property because someone is stealing it, or the person who is actually stealing it? that is lack on respect, they should not be going through your things

  21. Hide them somewhere else, like the disc drive of the computer, the toner compartment of the printer or the A4 punched pockets inside the lever arch file.

  22. Buy some doggie biscuits and cover them in chocolate - they'll probably break their teeth trying to eat them!! lol

  23. Serves you right for keeping 'em in your knickers.

  24. That's disgusting. I'd lock them away somewhere.people who steal from their colleagues are sc*m
