Need more information to diagnose him.

Is he moving around or sitting at the bottom of the tank?

Is he breathing really fast?

What are the conditions of the water? Have you tested ammonia, nitrate, nitrites. pH?

Sadly, fading scales aren't enough for me to help you =(

cahange the water feed him less if your over feeding him and give him love! thats all i can suggest!
