  1. he is fine it is normal

  2. it depends on what kind of hamster it is but in most cases its not to good

  3. NO< I am sorry to tell you but that is not ok, shedding is not good in small animals, it could mean he is stressed, has mites or lice, or is very sick with some thing. GET HIM TO A VET IMMEDIATELY TO BE CHECKED OUT!

  4. yes he is ok

  5. I don't believe so. When a small animal, like a hamster or guinea pig, "sheds" it's not like a dog or cat. It usually means that they either have lice or mites, some kinds that can be fatal and extremly serious and uncomfortable. Take him/her to a small animal vet ASAP to get treatment, which can range from shampoo, sprays, and shots. Hope I helped =D (it could also be a skin condition, so try to make the appointment today. Have lots of cash availible, treatments are expensive...) "If he/she is missing some fur  or has red skin that would mean he/she has mites. Is he l*****g the paw before scratching? When hamsters groom it can sometimes look like uncontrollable scratching. If the paw is being licked when the scratching occurs, the hamster is just grooming itself. If neither of these are solutions, the hamster may just have dry skin, or is alergic to the type of bedding used. Try a different type, and if this doesn't work and no signs of mites are present, your hamster just has dry skin, and nothing can really be done about this." -look below for source of info
