My blackberry fell out of my car and was rained on for a couple of hours.?

I thought it was a goner, but removed battery and sim card, dried them off, and after a few hours, it seemed to be working properly. The only issue now is that I cannot hear very well on it. The volume on calls is very low. Speakerphone works fine, but when I am holding the phone up to my ear during a conversation, it is near impossible to hear the other caller talk. Any suggestions as to how to remedy this?

My BB pearl has gone in the water twice.  I put it in a bag of rice for several days and it has saved it.  There is a product out there called Rapid Dry that will do the same thing only faster.  Good luck!

I wish I had better news for you but water is a great killer of anything electronic.  The only work around I can come up with is to use a wired headset or bluetooth device.
