My blue tongued skink and peas?

I recently bought a blue tongued skink and i fed him peas. He seemed to like them but the next day i noticed that he didnt digest them. Should I not give him peas? Or was that just a fluke? note: I have only given him peas that one time.

i would check your heat as it may not have been warm enough for him to digest them. Try to offer a variety of vegetables, mainly dark greens w/ some vegetables like yellow and green squash, and green beans, peas, etc. BTS can be different though and some may not take to veggies so well, some do, some you may have to sprinkle a little meat on there, etc. just offer a variety to find out what your skink likes or how it will eat it.

im not a animal expert but arent skinks carnivors i dont think they are supposed to eat plant based foods, but im really not sure
