Question:

My blue tongued skink ate wild snails...?

I brought him outside to get real uv rays. He's medium sized(still kinda a baby, though) and I let him chill in the grass. I took my eyes off of him for a second when my mom called, then when I looked back he had his head looking down and I saw something in his mouth. When I picked him up he had one or two snails in his mouth and they were already crushed up. When I went to try and grab them he had already swallowed them. Will he be okay? We don't spray toxins in our yard or anything, but I heard wild snails can carry parasites? They were kinda small... a lil bit smaller then a penny.

  1. If  you can try to find another snail, just like the ones he ate, go to the vet and say my little guy ate a couple of these and I need to make sure that she is ok. It's good that you don't spray your yard but you don't know where they came form. Good luck.

  2. I don't want your question to go unanswered but I don't know what to tell you. For parasites take it to the vet. Did the snails have thin shells?(i.e. a crunch or a snap crunch is thinner) if it is still alive tomorrow you should be fine w/ toxins.
