  1. Is the temp going up> Is it missing or vibrating> lousing RPM> Many idems it could be> Check prop. for dings ropes etc> Fuel filter> Vent pluged>  


  2. make sure the battery is fully charged it happens to my boat sometimes

  3. Gasoline, diesel or electric power?

    Inboard, outboard, I/O?

    What make and year is the engine?

    How many horsepower?

    What's the compression?

    Fresh gas?

    Water or debris in tank?

    Tank vent open and clear?

    Fuel line still pressurized after power loss occurs?

    Could be heat-related ignition component failure -- check all cylinders for spark after it looses power.

  4. This sounds like a fuel problem, possibly a plugged air vent to the fuel tank.  If it still gives you trouble, call a qualified marine mechanic. That is their business.  

  5. if the motor is not pissing water out then you could be in trouble but check your fuel filter first
