I've had this problem since I was a kid. It's a dull pain and it's annoying. It seems to happen at my shoulders and my rib area.

  1. This is a sign that your Pancreas is not secreting enough insulin to help your muscles absorb and use the glucose.  The sugar is staying in your blood causing your muscles to ache.  You need a few tests done.  You may not be diabetic but you can have sugar problems

    Tests:

    24 hour urine screen

    Fasting blood glucose test

    Glucose tolerance test.

Bring up your problem when you see your doctor and mention these three tests.  There are many more tests that I know of he/she could order but these are the three basics.

  2. have your blood sugar checked, may be a sign of diabetes

  3. check your blood sugar

    don't drink sweet (stupid) drinks

    drink water

  4. Please stay away from food/drinks that have HFCS, our bodies were not meant to digest it.  This is probably why  you are getting pains.  Additionaly, it sends messages to the brain that says "I am still hungry", even though you may not be.
