My body rejecting sleep!?

I went to sleep with my dog right next to me on the bed.(I sleep on the basement so its always cold.) Every time I close my eyes I could feel my muscles starting to become numb witch is my body making sure i won't move when i'm sleep. When I go to sleep i get a quick dream, a couple seconds I mean, and then my eyes can see but i'm still hearing a bunch of voices talking to me at once and then i feel my numb body and then slowly i gain control of them and then I'm up. It was late so I was really sleepy and every time i did that my body woke me up in that same process and it all lasted less then a minute. I repeated that at least five times and it kept waking me up. so finally I got sick of it and i went out of bed to the steps and i just sat there trying to think whats happening to me.( For some reason though evey time my body kept waking me up my dog's heart beat got stronger and he wanted to go to the steps so i went with him.) After and hour i went back to bed by myself this time. And i went to sleep and it woke me up shortly after. then i listened to the radio cause I figured I was going 2 stay up all night and finally after listening to the radio for an hour I went to sleep and woke up 5 hours later. Normally that is... Is there any professional help that can tell me what that was? Or Y it might've happened.

  1. try to calm down before bed. try some chamomile tea or a bubble bath or something right before you go to bed.

also, it could be what you're eating. turkey has an amino acid (L-tryptophan) that induces sleep.

L-tryptophan can also be found in oats, bananas, mangoes, dried dates, dairy products, red meat, eggs, fish, chicken, chickpeas (try hummus), sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, spirulina, and peanuts.

Some melatonin tablets can be purchased at most health food stores and they are a great natural sleep aid.
