My border terrier mix (pitt bull?) is always so stinky! ?

Even after a wash! What is the culprit? Any solutions? Suggestions? Is it genetics? Thanks!

what type of shampoo do you use? I use pantene 2 and 1 and pantene conditioner, they smell great.

I would check his ears the smell can be coming from there due to an infection or if he has running eyes that can cause a smell to. If its the eyes you can get eye wipes from petsmart that that keep them clean. If its the ears you need to take him to the vet for ear medicine. Dogs should only be bathed once a month unless the get muddy or swim. To much washing can dry out there coat and irritate the skin.

I've always noticed that my pitbulls, even after baths, still end up smelly like dog.  I think because their short, stiff hair doesn't hold onto the smell of shampoos like a long haired, fluffy dog would!
