  8. I only started dating my girlfriend of 30 months now after I resigned, I think it is unprofessional for a boss to show any favour unless it's based upon ability in the work place.

    Dating a subordinate can only cause issues with the rest of the team as it will cause issues.

    Different department etc fine.

  11. Don't get involved. Turn a blind eye and pretend you didn't see. There's no point fighting battles you can't win.

  12. It's just great everyone telling you to mind your own jealous business, but the legal answer is a lot different:

    In the US - If the affair causes your boss to favor your co-worker when he makes decisions that affect your job, then it is sexually-based discrimination against you and gives you the right to file a claim with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

    Smart people do not have affairs with subordinates.

    If your boss has a boss, you can discuss it with the higher ups.

    If there is an action taken against you for talking about this, that it is also grounds for a complaint of "retaliation".

  16. First of all just don't get involved. If they want everyone to know be happy otherwise don't say a thing. If you dig into it anymore things will get chaotic.

Well, lets say that some other employees feel the same way as you do, these are your supporters.  We will call you "Georgia".  Your supervisor has people who will back him, we will call him "Russia".  get the picture?  Choose your battles wisely, and this is one you will not win!  Stay clear and mind your business if you value your job.
