My boss can get fired?

Tell me why i went to my job today and the bag of wonder bread said it was to be sold for $2.55. But the tag right below it said that it costed $2.69?

According to one of my co-workers its against policy to raise the price of bread. even with the employee discount, it would cost $2.71. is this legal? My boss is incharge of setting the price of these items. can he get fired?

There's no law against raising the price of bread.  Your boss can charge anything he wants for it.

The owner of a product, such as bread, can sell it for whatever price they wish. Your boss can set the price at 2.55 or 2.69 or 2.71 or $10.00 if he chooses. Likewise, you can buy the bread at your job, or somewhere else if you choose. Your boss will probably not be fired.
