the last check was NSF

the upcoming check will be 5 days late

I resigned Monday and she refused my help in finding my replacement

she does not KNOW if my check for the 30th will be on time and says she will let me know around the 27th.

Should i juststart my new job on the 16th instead of the 23?

I wanted to use her as a reference....but i think that her credability in the city is fading

I have been here for over a year

  1. pack your rags,an move it....

  2. Go get some unemployment.

  3. i would say 4get ur a start ur new job as far as needing her for a reference i would tell ur next boss what happen - dont make her look bad just tell him or her what happen about ur late check ...

  4. The two week notice is a common courtesy, not a requirement.  I think since she can't pay you, you should bail out now - consider yourself first in this matter.

  5. i think it would be good to give the two weeks notice..just for the reasons that as you head into other jobs that itself would be a good reference. it would show that despite all odds you were dedicated to the job and did what you should do to live up to "employeement" agreements...

  6. work for free report it here http://www.bbb.com, and make it into a class action suit against him. Your win and won't have to bother with either job ;-)

  7. You don't owe her anything at this point.. the biggest SLAP IN THE FACE to an employee is not paying them on time. The employer expects you to be on time, perform all day and they are basically saying...we don't owe you the same respect. Get your check nd get out. If you already have a new job, start now.
