  1. Giving 2 weeks notice is general courtesy.  You have fullfilled your requirement to general courtesy by doing so.  Your boss has violated the rule of general courtesy by his actions so I believe you are free to leave without staying the full 2 weeks.  Another reason for giving 2 weeks notice is to maintain a good reference.  But it appears that your boss might give you a bad reference regardless, so why stay and take his abuse?

  2. Be a lttle sympathetic. He cant help being an a*****e, its written in his job description.

  3. With a mouth like yours I would fire you.

  4. tel him i qit boss

  5. Happens all the time.  One of the main reasons people dont give notice.  Just tough it out.  At least you  know it will end soon(however many more days you have left).  You could quit if it bothers you that much or confront him and ask him why he is behaving this way.  Whats the worst he could do? Fire you?  Your leaving anyway so who cares if he did lol

  6. Sounds like he wishes you weren't leaving so he's bitter & treating you this way.  Just stick it out, it will be over soon.

  7. how did he manage to become an A**hole LOL?!

  8. Could be for one of two reasons.  First is that you are correct and he is trying to get you to leave sooner.

Second, it could be that he's trying to make sure that you get everything that he feels you need to do before you leave done.  In addition he may also be trying to get information about what you're doing and what the status is without directly asking.

In either direction try scheduling a meeting and giving him an update on where you stand on everything you're working on.  Then ask what he feels should be the top priorities that you should be working on before you leave.

This does two things, first it should leave a nice professional taste in his mouth no matter how angry he may be.  Second, it will tell you everything you want to know about how he feels.  If he gets appreciative and calms down, then he was just a little panicky and didn't know what all you were working on and what the status was of each item.  If he's still angry then it's probably personal.

  9. Take him to one side and tell him that if he continues his behaviour, you will leave!

Let him work it out - you know you are already going so let him carry on making an as s of himself

  10. quit or tell him about whats going on and stuff and tell him to calm down a little bit and stuff.

  11. turn around and give it back to him ,but in a way where you can't get into trouble for it. have some fun with it at his expense .good luck

  12. How long have you worked for this company? How did you submit your notice? Did you have an exiting interview? If you said something like, "This job sucks and I don't want anything more to do with you." Then I can see where he is coming from. It could be that in his mind he spent a lot of time/money on training you and feels used that you are not sticking it out.

  13. How can you say that without big brother Yahoo removing it??

And my boss is one too......I'm self employed.

  14. take as a compliment he obviously doesn't want to lose you  if you cant do that and you don't need a reference just smack him in the teeth then maybe he will learn to shut his mouth.

  15. Try to leave on good terms and be professional about it.

  16. Don't know how you are for references but you probably don't want "failed to work out notice period" if you really need him for one... It's only two weeks max -  suggest you stick it out and be as professional, calm and non-provoked as possible.

  17. Yes ignore the tosser.

  18. This happens alot for some reason, I would suggest that you try and stick it out for the rest of the time. If he makes it unbearable then just quit, you shouldn't have to put up with that.

  19. It sounds as though he's being really childish. I thought bosses were meant to be above this sort of juvenile behaviour.

You obviously haven't got long to go before you leave. Try to ignore him as much as possible, and leave with your head held high.
