My boss is not prepared to hike my salary.

my boss is not prepared to hike my salary.hence, I restricted my time spent(man hours per day ) in office in proportion to the salary being paid.I do not comprise on the projects entrusted to me in terms of its quality but deliberately stretch the time involved in it.I love this job very much and do not want to switch over to some other job.Pls advice.

If you love your job, don't mess around with deliberately doing less work.  I do suggest that you do some job hunting to see what is available and what other companies will pay you.  If you get a better offer, let your boss know.  Maybe the threat of losing you will change his mind.  If you can't find a better offer, maybe you're already being paid what you're worth.

But either way, continue to do your job well.  Doing less work won't convince your boss that you're worth more money.

That said, don't overwork yourself, and work reasonable hours.
