Here's the story, I have been with my current employer for 5 years. Over the years I got a few raises, which is fine, however.... when my current manager took over as head manager he decided that I was making too much money per hour, which is ludicrous cause I really wasn't he is just being cheap and he never really liked me to begin with. So he decided to dock my pay. He bumped me all the way back to my salary when i first started, so new people that are just starting off are making the same amount of money as me. What do you think I should do. Should I stick it out and try get my pay rate fixed or go some place else. I would try talking to him but as i said he doesn't like me and i can't talk to him, it would go no where. Please Help!!

  1. Find a new job.  Quick.  Or go over his head.  He doesn't have the right to dock your pay without reason.  If you talk to his boss and explain that you've been with the company 5 yrs and suddenly when a new head manager is hired you are reduced back to entry pay.

I'm not sure that's even legal but I'd call some higher ups on this one.  Experience gets paid more.  Plus if you look for another job, you'd put your previous salary on there as your salary.

  2. go over his head if you can. if not find another gig.
