Question:

My boss is working me too much?

I think my boss is giving me too many hours. Since I am only fourteen and obviously still in school I can only work a certain amount of hours. During the summer she still over worked me but I didn't really care but now that I am starting school it might be a problem since I am a shift manager and I usually work close (I'm there until 10:30 to 11:30 pm.). What do I do? Every time I bring it up my boss tells me that I have no right to question her. ANy ideas what to do?

Any help would be great!

  1. look into the legal underage work conditions of your state you can work under.....you can Google this. I remember when I was 14 ( ps. not to long ago) I had to go and get a workers permit and was not able to work more than certain amount of hours and after a certain time and so many more rules my employer and I had to follow by.

Talk to your parents, do your research and make sure that you are morning legally. If in your state you are following all the guidelines talk to your manager and let them know that you are unable to work this way anymore. If they don't take your concerns into consideration leave that job, they will only use and abuse you further and further.
