My boss treats me like a child?

I have a new boss that is our department VP, I also have a director that I report to directly. The issue is with the VP. he's very impatient and always seems to have outbursts on me. He has yelled at me in a meeting in front of 18 colleagues and he has yelled at me using profanity, for things that are so unecessary . If I dont have a quick answer he questions my ability and he never does that with the rest of the team (2 others). I feel so humiliated all the time and like a child. Im the youngest and the minority on the team, on top of that Im 6months pregnant ( which he didnt take too well). he had done this even before he found out I was pregnant. Im trying to move up the ladder and get a raise, so i dont think its in my best interest to report to HR at this time. I really love my job and the flexibility. I've been here almost 3 years and plan to stay for awhile. I try not to take it personal, but it's hard when it's only happening to me. Any advice appreciated.

  1. do talk to hr about it, but anonymously or talk to higher in the chain of command, or just let it go in one ear and out the other, thats what i do with my boss, shes a *****!

  2. tell him to stop it

  3. He sounds like a jackass.  Don't take it personal - it's definitely him, and not you.

My guess is that other people have noticed this behavior, and he won't be around for long.  Just let him continue embarrassing himself, and sooner or later, HR will have to step in.
