My bottle of Vodka is half-full or half-empty?

If it is empty......there is nothing in it.  You cannot have 1/2 of nothing.

Put the cap on it tight and it is neither...it becomes a system in dynamic equilibrium of ethanol molecules leaving the liquid phase and entering the gaseous phase whilst an equal population of other ethanol molecules move from the gas phase to the liquid phase.
