  1. no its not too late.

you can crop them at anytime but after there 1st year i belive the chances of the surgery actually working drop alot..

More then likely they wont stand up un less the surgen did a great job.

Itll be exspensive for a good doctor. upwards in the 700-800 maybe more.

  2. No i think hes too old,the best age is between 7-12 weeks old.

Just wanted to know why would you even think about getting his ears done? I think they are much more beautiful with uncroped ears!

Hope this helps & you make the right choice. x*x

  3. i think after four months it is considered cruelty to animals.

  4. Why would you want to crop his ears?

Dogs ears are designed for a reason, they keep dirt, dust and ear mites out so their ears don't get infected.

  5. I think he is t old! Dont you have to do that to them when they are newborn other wise it is just to painfull for them!!

  6. I thought that was illegal in most contries. It's very painful for the dog and the risk of infections is huge. Don't be cruel to your poor dog!

  7. No, but it is cruel and stupid. your dog is used to his ears being one way. Dogs rely on their ears and nose greatly, and to crop his ears now will frustrate him, and he will have to re-learn how to move them around to pin point sound. To do it for your own selfish purposes is wrong.

  8. It's illegal in most countries and for a good reason, it's cruel!. Why do you want to crop his ears?, is it so he will look like a " real" boxer, nothing could be further from the truth dogs look best the way they are. Don't put your dog through unnecessary surgery just because you want him to look a certain way that's disgusting.

    Leave his ears alone!.

  9. God yes!  Do not do it, it's barbaric!

  10. why would you want to crop his ears?? its just a cosmetic surgery to make them look different doesn't help them health wise at all just puts them through pain!! it is illegal in australia! why not just let him look natural rather than changing his appearance for your personal pleasure.

sorry if you think I'm rude but i just think it is really horrid thing to do.

  11. Yes, it's too late and most vets wouldn't touch the dogs ears at this age. There's a reason they get them done when they are a few months old, they suffer a LITTLE less and there's more of a chance that the ears will stand. After those target months pass, there is great suffering for the dog for ears that might not even stand even with constant racking. Plus, it's cruel procedure to have done just so you think your dog can look cool. I say, if the dog was meant to have ears that stood, they would. We should leave nature alone. It's getting us into a lot of trouble.

    ADD:

Elaytrix, I didn't give you a thumbs down because "you spread the truth" I gave you one because you gave the wrong information. For the well being of the dog, yes it is too late to have the procedure done.
