My boyfriend 32yo is bipolar/adhd. Can someone, anyone help & just tell me what meds u r on & if they r workin

I know everyone is different when taking this meds but he has tried one after the other not sure if he isnt taking enough or taking to much. When we question the psych doctor he doesnt give us a straight answer instead he is willing to give give give using him as a ginney pig. I need help before its to late!! please tell me what your taking.. dose.. how you feel on it.. whatever information will be helpful thanks

I have a sister who is bipolar. It takes afew weeks to a month for meds. to start working, so she took 2 prozacs in the morning, one ativan every 8 hours and an ambien at night. It took a full month for her to stabilize.

I am on ritalin for my adhd, but it gives me headaches so maybe I need to try something new.

But for my bipolar I take a combo of lamictal and effexor XR. not bad i say, although the effexor has bad withdrawal so it is almost impossible to get off of it so dont take it just to try it. before the lamictal I took seroquel which worked pretty well too, but I had to try to get later shifts at work because it made me really drowsy.

in all i have had pretty good results with what i am on. my manic states are still present but they dont last as long, and they arent very severe. and my depressive states are gone.
