He doesn't have a huge network of friends, but I don't want to spend an arm and a leg by having a group dinner at a restaurant. What about a bonfire? I live in Long Beach, CA.

  1. Yeh a bonfire party is different, and what man doesn't like a good old fire!

Grab a barbecue, some fireworks and music in the background (and drink obviosuly) and it could be a good cheap party.

  2. you should try to plan an outing .. like beach party or maybe you should try to make a surprise on his house ...

  3. you should have a party at a park late at night!

  4. Beach party is cool, if you go north.  At least they allow alcohol there (if any of your guests would be drinking)

Don't venture south to Huntington, they don't allow alcohol.  If alcohol is not an issue, Huntington is the BEST BEACH.

Another option is bowling.  Yes, people make fun of it at first, but EVERYBODY has fun once they are there, don't they?

  5. The bonfire party sounds like it would be fun. Or you could even have a party at a park with a gazebo incase it rains. How about a beach party? during the daytime.

Have everyone bring a dish to pass or an appetizer to cut down on you having to transport a bunch of food yourself.

  6. throw him a party in his pants

  7. 21 is a pretty big deal. Are you sure he doesn't already have something in the works, or his family might?

You definitely won't be able to pull off a surprise party if that's your plan, because everyone has a 21st birthday party!

If it's not a surprise, hire a hall out or something, invite everyone he knows, have fun!

edit: Curse your edits. Bonfire sounds good.

  8. thats a good idea its not going to cost u and itll be fun
