My boyfriend's sister never talks to me.. What could I do?

I've been going to my boyfriend's house for over 2 years now and still his 17 year old sister never talks to me. She acts all nervous when she has to say a word to me.. don't you think she should feel comfortable around me by now? what could I do to have her talk to me? I'm starting to feel very uncomfortable and awkward being around her.

I would think that its time to take her out to lunch, or shopping one afternoon, see where that takes you! I like the suggestion above, asking her opinon on something. Start small!

Wow, that's weird. She may think you don't like her? Or that you're better, smarter, prettier than she is? She may have a severe self-esteem problem.

Why not invite her to spend a little time, just the two of you? Is there a coffee shop or pizza parlor around? It doesn't have to be a four-hour thing.

If you get a chance, also ask her for advice. Think of anything simple and ask her. Good luck.
