  1. Does it have to be Mexico? My daughter got married in Vegas, and it was pretty cheap.

  2. Bahia Principe - Tulum  - It's in the Mayan Rivera

The pros - the resort is MASSIVE!  It's actually three resorts all connected.  You have free access to all of the resorts and free shuttle buses that run every 10 minutes around the resort.  The food is good and there are three buffets and several al a cartes to choose from.  There are tons of beech chairs available so there is no need to wake up early to reserve a seat (which you have to do at other resorts).  The beach front is also massive so you can always be close to the water.

It's also a eco resort so you can feel better about being there.

The downside is that it is about an hour to an hour and a half away from the airport.  The beach is also a little rocky so invest in some water shoes.  Because it's an eco resort they don't do massive sweeps of the sand because that harms the wildlife.

EDIT: Also, when I went (in February) the resort was at full capacity and it didn't feel crowded.  The resort also paid for us to go to Merida to stay in a Hilton for a night (could have been more) and a free trip to Chichen Itiza (sp?) and a small colonial Mexican town (all food and drinks on the trip were also free).  I'm not sure if they always do that but it was a huge bonus.  When I was leaving they were also offering trips to Cancun.

  3. Puerto Vallarta- My preacher just arrived back from his son's there last weekend & said in church it was even better than his & his wife's when asked.  My little brother was already engaged to be married into the Catholic Church there with his senerita that was raised there.  They have hardly been back to the U.  S.  A.  by choice since they met nearly 5 years ago.

  4. My suggestions are to check with the state department before you do to ensure a marriage in Mexico is valid in America. Also, sometimes you may need to be in that country a certain amount of time before a wedding is valid.
