  1. You can't really help him now but once you are married if you are a US citizen then you can apply for his permanent residence.  He will have to apply at his home country but it should not take more than 6 months in Jamaica.  Good Luck!!

  2. I am in the same boat you are sweetie. There isn't really any way at all that you can get him his citizenship unless he leaves and reenters a legal way. I have been researching for about 2 years and haven't found any solution other then sending him back home and having him come over on a Legal visa.

  3. go back to his "home" and come here legally.  that would help lots of people.

  4. If you are a legal permanent resident or citizen of the US, check out the uscis.gov website as there is a legal process that you can go through, and he is allowed to be in the country during this process, however, you do need to get married.

There is also such thing as a fiance visa but he needs to be outside the country.

  5. Honey, you have a long process ahead of you but keep your head up..it can and does work out. First he will need to return home (which he won't want to do) but that's the best way. However, you need to go to www.visajourney.com It is a site of do-it-yourselfers who have gotten or are in the process of obtaining visas for husbands/fiances. This will be your best support for information.

  6. Why ever come illegally? Have pride. I'm sure he's better than that. Encourage him to get a green-cars and take the citizenship test after a couple of years; that's my plan! Otherwise I wouldn't be able to call myself a proud American, when that time comes.

  7. Well posting your question on here isn't helping him. I am sure that these sites are regulated by some government organization. IP addresses can be traced easily.

I would be very careful, if he gets charged with coming here illegally, he will never have a chance.

To the person below me. Be proud of who you are... Pride is not about Nationality.

  8. Send him home before he gets deported and banned.

  9. Send him home before:

You: 5 years federal prison and/or $250,000 fine for aiding abetting and/or harboring a illegal alien

Him: deportation, 10 year to life ban from US soil.

After he gets home file for a K-1 visa, it will be denied (you have to do this to go to the next step), file for a waiver, after the waiver is approved (if it is no guaranty) then you file for the K-1 visa again. Once that is approved have him come to the US and marry him, then fill out lots of paperwork. He can not become legal while in the US.

  10. he has to go home .. i recomend takin a bus to mexico then takin a plain to jamaica that way he wont get caught..

u cant become a citizen without bein in the country legally which means he has to enter us legally.. once hes in jamaica u can get him a green card idk about cizitenship.. but u have to do lot of this such as fillin forms blah blah blah

  11. how easy or hard it may be to make him legal depends a lot in the way in which he came into the USA . If he came legally and then his visa expired then the process would not be that hard if he hasn't committed any crimes . if he came illegally then u best option would be to just go straight to talk to an immigration lawyer before u attempt anything at all . either way u need a lawyer not matter how he came in since a mistake in ur petition could cost u years and even could cost him being able to stay in the USA legally , so not matter what contact a lawyer and don't listen to anyone telling u than he needs to go back , there is a lot of people who hate all immigrants so they give answers which sometimes seem helpful with the worst intentions .... best of luck to u and please make sure to contact ur congressmen/woman and let them know than u support a comprehensible immigration reform .

  12. turn him in, he's a criminal.
