he has a swollen t******e and got diagnosed with chlamydia more than a month ago. he took the course of antibiotics and the swelling went down and the pain has disappeared, but now he has a lump underneath the t******e about an half inch in size. i doubt cancer can appear that soon. any ideas?

  1. it may testicular cancer you should get it checked out just in case.

  2. Don't rule cancer out.  But it could just be a tumor that doesn't hurt him.  But to be sure doctors would have to preform a biopsy on his t******e which could be painful and hard thing to watch.  I believe it is something bacterial if it keeps coming back.  Lets hope its nothing like herpes that is incurable.

  3. There is a possibility the lump represents chlamydial epididymitis.  The epididymis is the portion of the t******e where mature sperm are stored.  Epididymitis means swelling of this structure.  The most common cause is bacterial (an STD such as chlamydia).

Your boyfriend needs to see his doctor, as this may require additional antibiotic treatment.  Also the doctor may need to rule out other causes, including testicular torsion and yes, cancer.  It's unlikely but needs to be checked.

If you and your boyfriend are having s*x, you need to be checked out too!   You can have chlamydia and not have symptoms.  Untreated, it can cause pelvic inflammatory disease and infertility.

Both of you need to make a doctor's appointment!
