My boyfriend found chunks in his Dr. Pepper... has this happened to you?

He had just bought the case of Dr. Pepper from the store and the expiration date had not yet been met.... but when he got to the last sip chunks of something came out in his mouth... He couldn't really explain what it was, but wonders if anyone else has experienced something like this. What did you do? He called the 800 number and they asked him some questions and said they want him to send the can and "chunks" in to be analyzed.... any thoughts?

lol I would send it to them They could do something for you and your questions Im quite curious about what the h**l that Chuck* was lol. It is good that I don't drink dr pepper .haha

never happened to me or anyone i know. sounds pretty gross though, i wonder what it was?

it hasn't happened to me before with dr pepper, but it has with coke... still don't know what it was... maybe the sugar or splenda or whatever sweetner they used crystalized at the bottom?

no that's weird i drink dr. pepper all the time and that's never happened to me

It has not happened to me but I have a theory. First of all, caned soda is sugar water in the simplest fact. So when this sits out, maybe some of it evaporated in the truck during transport, causing sugar to crystallized at the bottom. And there would be not enough soda to dissolve the sugar again.

It never happened to me.  Now that I have quit drinking soda, it will not happen to me.
