My boyfriend has a very joking personality

and his sons can be the same way. They may say "You're so crazy" if my daughter does something silly. My daughter says this really hurts her feelings when they say these things to her. She never says that to them though. How can I tell my daughter to resolve this without confronting them about this. They aren't being mean but she takes it that way. She is 11.

just explain that you think she's smart and that these people dont mean what they are saying but are just joking. tell her thats just their way of saying things and that some people are like that. and that they dont mean to hurt her but they actually like her.

Explain to her that some people like joking... and thay they do't really know that they are hurting her its just the way their personality is and they are NOT making fun of her

Just tell her it's a joke, and ask her why it hurts her so much.

and that they dont mean to hurt her feelings,

and also if you wanted maybe you could tell your boyfriend (only if you wanted to) to sorta lay off those comments for a bit.
