my boyfriend had a bad sezuire in town yesturday and started screaming like a wild animal and punchin the air and at one stage he hit my 2 year old son in the pram, this sezuire which is know as a peti mal sezuire he doesnt tend to remember anything after which i believe myself cause i do have epilepsy but its under control mine, iv told him he better go and see his gp ASAP or else im leaveing him cause my son could have been seriously hurt even though he his ok, if it hadnt been my son then it could have been me or someone else, and he is a danger to society when this happens, he kept telling me how sorry he was yesturday after the sezuire cause i know that he would never hurt a fly but he seriously needs to get his epilepsy sorted, when my epilepsy got bad at one stage i went and got it sorted, mine is night time epilepsy, so why wont he, this isnt good for me or my son and i think he is being very selfish in a way, he is under alot of stress aswell and these tend to bring sezures on

  1. could be a sense of pride in not wanting to ask for help, I don't know if pressuring him by saying you're going to leave him is exactly the right thing to do. A lot of support and a little pressure might be better than flat out commanding him to do something like a puppy =P Just my opinion heh

  2. so change the subject and find something else to discuss.

  3. It is hard to say what to tell you.  Ordinarily, I say ultimatums aren't good, but, as this affects not only you and he, but, more importantly, your baby, tell him, either he goes to the general practitioner or out the door you go. While I am saying this, try your best to understand he may feel like he is "less of a man" if he goes to see a doctor. Be understanding, talk to him, and, if all fails after you try to reason, make it an absolute, because of the baby.

  4. You can only control what one person on this earth does -- YOU... you can't control another adult.. you can URGE him to get treatment, but you're not his mommy.

If he doesn't get treatment, and you are uncomfortable with it, then follow through, and break up?

  5. this does not sound like epilepsy . Peti mals are when they sit there and stare into space. There is no thrashing. He should see his GP anyway.
