  1. Sorry hunny, unless its their day off- usually sunday- and he has permission, he can only write letters. But you'll be happy to know that once he gets past the Basic phase, and goes to Tech School, he can call all he wants.

Best of luck, and hang in there.

  2. During basic training phone calls are few to none. It all varies and depends really.

He should be able to write you, but he wont be able to a whole hellava lot.

You must understand it's boot camp, it's meant to break him down both physically and emotionally to see what he is really made of.

  3. He is allowed to write letters but he is not allowed to call. Well, my husband wasn't allowed to call and none of my friend's husbands were allowed to call their wives anyways.

  4. he might get 1-2 phone calls once basic training is coming to the end, but he is always aloud to wright letters. But he will have to wright on his spare time, and that is not very much time.

  5. Does he know how to write or use a telephone? Of course he can. Now go back to your Teen magazine and let the grownups ask serious questions.

  6. I am not sure about rules specific to your the area you mentioned, but basic rules dictate that there are many more opportunities for snail mail letters than phone calls or email.  Hang in there!

  7. Yes, he can write letters every time he gets a chance. Don't expect too many in the beginning though. He will probably be given 3 or 4 phones calls.
