My boyfriend is making so many friends that are girls?

My boyfriend is making girlfriends at school, and asks for their id or phone number. I trust him, i know he does that to talk about school stuff, but why can't he talk to me about school stuff, or his class mates?

He eventually becomes friends with those girls. i know he wouldn't do something as long as he is in this relationship with me, but somehow i feel he's still looking for a potential girlfriends or a "safety net" if we were to break-up

a guy wouldnt look for a safety net if he trusted you. you should ask him how he feels the relationship is going

Id try talking to him about it. But if that doesnt work just do the same thing. Two can play that game. He'll either see that its not ok and react jealously or youll have a back up too if you break up

Trust is very important in a relationship. If he hasnt done anything jeopardise the relationship then dont let the situation of his girlfriends bother you. Im telling you this because this is the same problem i had with my GF, and for this reason we broke up. Lack of trust is a weakness in a relationship

I think that is exactly what he is doing.  Potential gf's as a safety net.  Nothing wrong with talking about stuff, but getting phone numbers?  How would he feel if you were getting ID's and Phone numbers?  I don't think he would like it.
