What else can I do to show that I support him and to keep him motivated?

He left today to FT Jackson, but I want to show him that I care and am thinking of him... How long should I wait to start writing?

Thanks for your answers :)

  1. Defiantly write to him once or twice a week. Draw hearts on the envelope and spray it with perfume so he can smell you. He may have to do more push ups for that letter but that just makes it sweeter. Call his recruiter for a list of things you can and cannot send him. It does no one any good to send something  that will be confiscated.

  2. Write as much as possible(:

  3. yah its good, in fact he will be looking forward to you writing him. write today

  4. He will contact you first and give you the correct address so then you can tell him how much you miss him and he will say sweet things back to you.

  5. You should write every day, but you can't write until he calls you with the address or sends it to you in the mail. It usually is about a week after he leaves. Check out this website. Click on Fort Jackson and then click on all the other numbers after it once your done. Also, you can read all about what to do for your man while he is in Basic Training. My husband is in BT right now too. Good luck.

  6. You won't have his address until the mid-end of his 2nd week (week 1 is all processing and he won't be assigned his address til the end of the week. The letter won't reach you for 3-4 days).

Write a letter every day (including the days before you have his address). Just make sure you always send them in plain, white envelopes. Write his address in black ink & only put your return address (not your name).

  7. Write every day and send him the letters every other day. Mail is one of the biggest moral boosters there is...

Even if you think it's boring or nothering special, write about it anyway. He'll love to get letters from you and read whatever you write.

  8. Definitely write! Basic training is tough and he'll need to feel supported. If you want to do something even nicer, send a care package with all of his favorite goodies in it. Do it within the first week or two.

  9. Write to him, at least after one week.  He will probably feel lonely and will really enjoy getting a letter from you.

  10. i would write every day.

  11. Give him a few days to get processed and assigned to a training company. If you write now where would you address it, Pvt (his name here) C/O Ft Jackson?

He has to contact you to tell you where to write.

After that, pictures to go with the letters are always appreciated.

And maybe after a few weeks a care package of his favorite cookies would be nice.

  12. Be sure to put plenty of perfume on the envelope.
