  1. If smoking is your biggest worry than things can't be so bad . and riding his *** about it will do no good what  so ever. channel your energy towards something productive .

  2. Turn him into the smoking police. Sorry I guess it hasn't gotten there quite yet.

It's a habit that is probably the MOST difficult to quit. Give him support and understanding if you can. Let him know that you still expect him to keep trying to quit. I can't imagine how you starting to smoke would be of any help.

Hang in there. Give him some sort of realistic time table to see some improvement in the amount of smoking with an eye to quitting in the future.

  3. now way do not smoke pleez

  4. Be patient. I have the same problem with my husband. Smoking is soooo addicting. He has to be ready to quit. If money is a motivator for him, I would think the high price of cigs (over 4 bucks out here) would maybe give him something to think about. I smoked, very heavily, for years and it was so difficult to quit, so I would never encourage you to start. Go check out http://www.quitnet.com/ . I still use that sight when I feel weak so I can see how much money and how much of my life I have saved. Good luck

  5. Absolutely DO NOT start smoking to so he knows how you feel. There is no reason to hurt YOUR lungs because you boyfriend is crazy enough to turn his lungs into a barbecue pit. If you both are stressing over money so much, why go out and waste it on cigarettes?(You should tell him that)

Ultimately, the best thing to do would be try to keep hounding him by telling him how unhappy it makes you and and try to maybe get things like patches, chewing gum, etc, things that will help him quit. You could even tell him you don't like getting close to him (esp for things like kissing) when he smokes because he smells so bad. That maybe will give him more ambition to quit. Good luck.

  6. Kind of ironic that you guys are stressing for money, yet your bf is smoking it away..but it's his health. Oh, and I guess your health too because of the second hand smoke. DO NOT START!

  7. If he quit for 9 months, does that mean he was your boyfriend before that? If so, you knew he smoked then, and wanted to be his girlfriend anyway. If that's the case, you have no right to complain.

As for you smoking, if it'll make you feel better, go for it. Just don't complain about him.

  8. so he's having financial problems, but is willing to spend $5 or more, PER PACK, in order to smoke?   i can't believe that YOU are willing to start smoking in order to help him?

tell him that he is wasting money by smoking, and it's not helping.

  9. Your smoking will NOT help things.

I feel for you and he;  it took me a very long time to quit, and I had many failures while trying.

Just hang in there, and be supportive.

    Good luck...

  10. are you nuts!?!

yeah... that's a great idea... someone's killing himself.... let's do it to!

If you do love him - you should assist him in healthy choices.

Like tell him - he gets ONE VICE... either the one that comes in a carton or the one that comes in a thong.

  11. Your boyfriend enjoys the occasional cigarette. You've already given this fact much more thought than it deserves.

  12. dump him.seems like he doesnt care for his health and therefore,he doesnt care for you.i wonder if he ever thinks if something happened to him, what would you do?

if you cant find a way to show your emotions by nothing else but smoking, then youre a hopeless case too.what kind of relationship do you have?

  13. stressing out over money?

does he realise how expensive smoking is as a habit?

be patient with him, you can't MAKE him give up.  My mum gave up for a while, but she started up again because she gave up for someone else not herself.

don't start smoking, then thats twice as much money leaving the pot.

try talking to him, try see if he'll cut back because of the budget?
