My boyfriend teaching me to ride...good idea?

Okay my boyfriend races motocross and wants to teach me how to ride a dirt bike... is this a good idea? We've been together for year and a half now and I wanna learn. I just don't know if it's a good idea...

He dosen't want to race you, he wants you to enjoy something he enjoys.

Motocross is a good fun sport and if you are interested then why not.  Just make sure you are doing it because you want to and not because he wants you to.

Go for it if you want to learn and he does not try to force you to do something you are not comfortable with. I'm sure he will take it slow and make sure you are safe so if you have him teach you have fun and be safe

Yeah, go ahead. Just be sure to start with a small one. May be a 80cc mini dirt bike.

It depends if your bf is sort of really violent then sort of a bad idea

Great Idea... If he's patient. No one will give you more attention than a loved one. My advice is to is let him teach you to ride (which is not huge fun for a mx-er) and remember there will be times when he wants to go ride by himself or with buddies, let him go, he needs time with his bike for just giong fast and not in teacher mode. Good luck and always weight the pegs.

Trust me once you learn..you wont want to stop!! It's soo much fun. I'm a female and I have been riding since I was about 5 and I'm 20 now..so what does that tell you?? ha ha..You should learn, you will have a BLAST! Just be careful and don't freak out!
