My boyfriend went to jail today...

He got a theft charged.. and has 10 years over his head.. does anyone know how long he will be in for??? please help me.

I have shared my experience of going through this same thing many years ago and believe me It is Not fun and before long he will pull you down too. Go read my other answers for this same type question get it together and move on

It is No fun being in a relationship spending time and money sitting in a visiting room every week and sitting by the phone and than having to pay that phone bill and send him money to cover his expenses It may not be like that now but it will let him get to the sentenced phase.

18 months on a 10 year sentence is normal for a non aggravated offense.He will be on parole for the remainder of his sentence.

If he did the crime then he'll have to do the time plain and simple...

Tell him to admit that he has a stealing addiction they have programs for that and will cut him some slack an maybe even reduce his sentence

But for that charge it all depends if he has a record or not. If he does well he is going to be doing ome county time

My boyfriend in jail too, the best thing to do is talk, don't go with anybody else, and when you do talk to another person tell them you hsv  s bofriend so they the boundaries of the realtionship. If the feelings get stronger for your "friend" tell your boyfriend thats in jail the deal so he won't be surprised.
