My boyfriends brother has a hemroid!!!!!!!!!

i feel bad because i was teasing him for it but he feels really bad about it because it keeps coming back and he is too embarrassed to go to the doctor for it.............he also said that it burns sometimes when he tries to go to the bathroom........what should he do to rid this thing.......

He needs to go to the doctor to talk to the doc about what to do. Most likely, they will recommend surgery. Hemorrhoids can sometimes mean something worse than what appears. My boyfriend's sister had hemorrhoids and had surgery to get them removed. They investigated why she had them, and it turns out she has Crohn's Disease.

He should eat right, and it will heal itself.  To do that, he should eat a lot more fruits, veggies, and whole grain foods, and much less red meat and processed food.  He also needs to be sure he doesn't let himself get constipated and he doesn't strain to pass the stool.  For the pain and burning, he can get over the counter hemorrhoidal pads and creams that will help a lot.  Or he can use plain old witch hazel and clean cotton pads, the colder the better it feels.  For personal type cleaning after a trip to the bathroom, he'll also find baby wipes much more comfy.  Those should be the sort without scent, and with aloe vera if possible.  If he changes his diet and keeps it up, things will heal all by themselves.  He has to keep it up though, because if he doesn't it will just come back with a vengence.  No need to be embarassed to see a doctor, they have seen far worse.  But if he tries the diet changes and the other things I mentioned, he should be more comfy and see some improvement in a few weeks.  In fact, if he gets things soft so he isn't straining, and uses the creams, he'll lose the burn even quicker.  Just try to be nice about it, as it isn't funny when your seater is on fire and in pain.

First thing he should do is eat soft foods and take hot sits baths. That will ease the swelling. but eventually he will have to have surgery to get rid of it. The procedure is quite simple today. They just tie a band around it and it dries up and falls off. If he is over weight he needs to lose some. Keep the bowels soft by taking Metamucil or Citracil daily. There are hemorrhoid suppositories or tube gel he can insert and wipes especially made for hemorrhoids when there is a bowel movement. Keeping the bowel movements soft may shrink the hemorrhoid enough that it won't bother him. And also tell him not to sit on concrete or strain lifting something. Rest as much as possible.
